• View of Crater Lake and Llao Rock on the west side of the lake from Merriam Point. Taken at the summit of the great trail we found. Looking toward the north in this photo. Absolutely beautiful location!
• Crater Lake Panorama photo of 6007, 6008, 6009, 6010 taken at Crater Lake, Oregon July 26, 2006. Photo taken on the west side of the lake near the North Rim entrance near Merriam Point, Llao Rock on the left side of the photo, center of lake looking toward the east. This photo makes it appear that one could fall right off the edge into Crater Lake. Actually, this is very, very possible since there were no guardrails or fences anywhere near us. It was at least a 1000 foot drop to the lake!

Panorama created by combining four photos into one using Photomerge in Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0.
• Crater Lake is a beautiful deep blue lake due to the fact that the only fill for the lake is the clean, clear snow and rainfall. The clouds form interesting, dark shadows on the surface of the lake. The location is at Merriam Point near the trail we found near the North Entrance of the Rim Drive, on the west end of the lake. Looking toward the Northeast in this photo.
• The snow is everywhere at Crater Lake, OR. We were amazed that much of Crater Lake was still closed for the winter only a few weeks before our arrival! It's difficult to believe that there could be so much snow on July 1 to keep Crater Lake closed!
• Crater Lake Lodge viewed from the Visitor Center. Amazing that the lodge is build right on the edge of the caldera, that goes quite steeply down for about 1,000 feet. Makes for a really nice view!
• Eileen captured what appears to be a UFO hovering over Crater Lake in this early (approx 5 am) photo taken from our room at the Crater Lake Lodge. Closer examination shows a strange blur on a round object that appears to be a bright star or planet, but who knows?
• Eileen's beautiful photo of the south shore of Crater Lake taken from the Sinnot Memorial Outlook. The lake is mostly a beautiful, clear, clean deep blue, with patches of bright green water in places near the shoreline.
